We visited Froth again briefly this morning. Checked the engine and dropped off some items for the cabin. We’ve been going every week over the festive period. The boat feels rather cold and empty, just waiting for us to bring her to life.

Everything is in good order inside, and the engine is fine. We are having some problems in the ‘conservatory’ area (through the closed double doors in the photo), because the high winds have been blowing the cratch covers off their poppers and allowing a bit of rain in. There is some water blackening of the wood out there. We have to remind ourselves that, even though this part of the boat feels like a room, it is outside. Of course, if we were living on board full time, we would never allow it to get wet. Well, there is nothing much we can do at the moment. Selling the house is the priority now. Meanwhile, it is exciting to know that our new home awaits…
