If all goes well with the house sale, we will be living aboard Froth from mid April. We are now in extreme down sizing mode. About 80% of our possessions need to be taken to charity shops, sold or given to friends and family.
I’m getting to grips with the issues of running a business from a boat (again). Making leather roses onboard Froth is the easy bit. It is the admin and customer service that presents more of challenge. Tomorrow I’ll apply for a virtual office at http://www.harborough-ic.co.uk/virtual-offices and find a suitable storage unit (I bulk buy packaging) . My Imac is too big for the boat so I’m giving it to my dad and I’ve bought a lovely new MacBook Pro.
Andy is in the process of digitising his library and downsizing his work station. He has a digital piano that will store nicely under the bed.
There is a lot to think about. Banks, car tax, insurances, pensions, licences, electoral register – they all require a Postcode and we wont have one. There isn’t a “one size fits all” solution but I’m working on it. I have an address with http://www.scanmypost.co.uk and use this where I can for personal mail.
